I was out shooting with Frank and we saw a heron having lunch. I was using a canon 5D with a 300mm lens. (There is no sound)

Photography

I need to shoot something so I have decided that Sunday will be a photography day! So busy with work that I can't seem to do things I enjoy. Having Sunday off means a long drive in the country. Maybe I will find some horses to photograph :)

iPad

So about a month and a half ago I had a friend show me a contest that was going on at school. It was to enter a photo of yourself and a coke product and grand prize was an iPad1. Two weeks ago I found out that I was the winner!

I will be posting my winning photo soon, along with my school exhibition pieces and the butterfly exhibit I went to in Montreal in March.

Parc Omega 2

Parc Omega

Started placement this past week!

So we went to Parc Omega for our first outing. Got to see Wolves, Deer, Boar and many other animals.

Having a very difficult time with my movie poster :S

Everything is shot, I just have to put it together... and I am extremely frustrated.

I shot the first component to my movie poster - Mount Rushmore

I used one soft box over top of the Mount Rushmore model I had a gobo and a reflector.

I will be shooting the model and plane on Sunday. Cutting it close to the assignment due date but things happen when models don't get back to you...

I called the modeling agency today. Hopeful that the model I want will be willing to volunteer his time for me. Fingers crossed :)

Anyways I decided to do North by Northwest for my movie.

Onion Skinning Assignment

Onion skinning is the process of taking more then 1 picture of the same subject(s) and then putting the photos into photoshop and using masks, reveal more then 1 of each subject. I hate this assignment and will be glad to hand it in, so I no longer have to think about it.

Class Jan 18th 2011

This class was a lot of fun. We got to experiment with dragging the shutter. It was a blast of colour and fire :) we used a Nikon D3, sparklers and glow sticks.
